The current trend I n treating cardiovascularhealth issues is generally two-fold. First, physicians generally review a patient’s cardiovascular healthfrom a macro level, for exam ple, by analyzing the biochemistry or blood content or biomarkers of a patientt o determine whether there are high levels of cholesterol elements in the bloodst ream of a patient. Inresponse to high levels of cholesterol, some physicians wi ll prescribe one or more drugs, such as statins,as part of a treatment plan in order to decrease what is perceived as high levels of cholesterol elements inth e bloodstream of the patient.
