These tools currently form an impor tant part of anorganization’s cyber defense strategy, but they are insufficient in the new age of cyber threat. For example,existing methods for vulnerability scanning processes are typically performed by humans are less targetedand may lead to security resource allocation in the wrong places and so on. Also, some v ulnerabilityscanners and simulators actually test and compromise the actual net work devices themselves, which mayadversely affect the network and the organiza tion during this testing and scanning.
