Abstract

The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied by theinventors: “At present, legged robots inevitably fall or ar e hit by other objects in the external environmentduring walking. When these si tuations occur, the external impact will be transmitted to the inside of therob ot joint, causing overload impact to transmission components such as gears insid e the joint, resultingin structural damage and leading to the situation that th e robot cannot work properly. Therefore, an overload impact protection structure is needed to absorb energy during overload impact, thus protectingtransmission components such as gears.
