News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors:“Existing cleaning solutions for surfaces require either a person or an external cleaning system (e.g. acleaning robot). For example, the cleaning procedure of a dirty floor can be done by cleaning personnel,a cleanin g robot, or a combination of both. Also, during the cleaning process of that dir ty surface,the facility is typically unavailable. In spite the cleaning procedu re can be done properly by the cleaningpersonnel, nothing can ensure the cleanl iness of the floor. The next person who will use the clean surfacecan make it d irty again immediately. The present invention is targeting to all sectors that i nvolve humansor animals and dirty surfaces. The main disadvantages of the known cleaning procedures of surfaces aretwo. Firstly, surfaces don’t automatically clean themselves, and secondly no one can ensure the cleanlinessof those surfac es after cleaning personnel or external cleaning systems cleans them.”
