No assignee for this patent application has been made.Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: ““Field of the Invention“The invention relates to a changer for changing tools to be used consecutively on a robotic arm witha base part and a changer part, wherein the base part prov ides an assembly section on the head side ofthe changer for mounting the roboti c arm and the changer part provides an assembly section on the baseside of the changer for mounting a tool, wherein the base part and the changer part are conn ected to oneanother in a connecting position in such a way that the base part c an be adjusted from the connectingposition in an extracting direction at least substantially directed from the assembly section of the changerpart to the asse mbly section of the base part relative to the changer part into a separating pos itionseparated from the changer part and back into the connecting position in a n opposite insertion direction,and wherein the base part has a locking mechanis m interacting with the changer part and adjustable froma locking position, bloc king a separation of the base part from the changer part from the connecting position in the extracting direction, into an unlocking position, releasing a separ ation of the base part fromthe changer part from the connecting position in the extracting direction, and back.
