The most common of these devices are APCs, which often are either hydraulic or robotic in type.Hydraulic cleaners v ary water flow for movement, while robotic cleaners typically employ electric mo torsto cause motion. Hydraulic APCs, furthermore, subdivide into “pressure-side ” and “suction-side” cleaners,with pressure-side cleaners being fluidly connect ed to outputs of pumps of pool water circulation systemsand suction-side cleane rs being fluidly connected to inputs of such pumps. Traditional APCs may include asingle on-board battery pack such that the APC does not require cabling for r eceiving power from outsidethe pool or spa. However, APCs for large pools may r un out of charge before completing an operationsuch as a cleaning cycle, thereb y requiring an interruption to the cleaning cycle such that the APC canbe recha rged.”
