News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: “Most of the sorting operations in the prior art are comple ted by robots in collaboration with operators. Although robots can reduce the wo rkload of operators, after sorting materials at workstation, operators still nee d to transport the materials to a put wall. The put wall is usually located far away from the workstation, which requires operators to drive target materials fr om the workstation to the put wall for distribution, and then walk back to the g oods shelf to continue sorting subsequent items after distribution. This process also requires operators to personally handle the distribution process, which no t only fails to ensure the speed of distribution processing, but also affects th e sorting efficiency. Therefore, an effective solution is urgently needed to sol ve the above problem.”
