According to news reporting originating in Madrid, Spain, by News Rx journalists, research stated, “To overcome the application limitations of fun ctional electrical stimulation (FES), such as fatigue or nonlinear muscle respon se, the combination of neuroprosthetic systems with robotic devices has been eva luated, resulting in hybrid systems that have promising potential. However, curr ent technology shows a lack of flexibility to adapt to the needs of any applicat ion, context or individual.”
