By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – From Washington, D.C., NewsRx journali sts report that a patent application by the inventors BLAIS-MORIN, Louis -Antoin e (Montreal, CA); HERITIER, Maguelonne (Pierrefonds, CA); KIMBER, Helen (East Su ssex, GB); KODAGODA, Neesha (Watford, GB); SEGUIN, Francois (Longueuil, CA); SHA HBAZI, Maryam (Candiac, CA); SHAHBAZI, Mozhday (Sherbrooke, CA), filed on April 29, 2024, was made available online on September 5, 2024. No assignee for this patent application has been made. News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: “When a witness of an incident provides a witness statement , they are often unable to provide certain details of the incident with confiden ce. In other words, witness statements are often uncompleted and contain uncerta inties. For example, a witness may indicate in their statement that they saw a s tation wagon or a hatchback car that may be blue but cannot recall the make of t he vehicle. Using conventional investigation tools, multiple queries would need to be made based on such a statement and a user would be required to sift throug h numerous images based on the time at which the incident was observed by the wi tness, the location, or some other criteria. Such a querying and review process may prove time-consuming and prone to errors. The process may become even more c umbersome when multiple witness statements are provided by different witnesses, especially if the statements contain variances or are incomplete.
