By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – Investigators discuss new findings in Robotics. According to news reporting out of Quebec City, Canada, by NewsRx edit ors, research stated, “In order to combine low mechanical impedance and sufficie nt interaction forces, a six-degree-of-freedom robot featuring a mechanically ba ckdrivable transmission with a low reduction ratio is proposed in this paper. Al so, a parallel architecture is used in order to allow the use of relatively larg e and high-torque actuators.” Funders for this research include General Motors of Canada, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
