News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: “A classic automation solution generally consists of a mach ine tool, a robot located outside the machine tool for feeding workpieces and/or tools to and/or removing workpieces and/or tools from the machine tool, a compo nent store and a workpiece store. In an enclosed machining area of the machine t ool, which can be opened for feeding and removing workpieces or tools, grippers are provided for the tools as well as clamping means for clamping workpieces. An automation solution may thus feed the workpieces and/or tools to the machine to ol and/or remove workpieces and/or tools from the machine tool instead of an ope rator.
