In a frictionless store, a consumer checks in through automated mechanism or is automatically identified upon entry into the store through facia l recognition. The consumer then picks items from the shelves and places them in a bag, basket, or cart. The consumer then exits the store. There is no requirem ent of any interaction with staff of the store. Images captured of the consumer and the items allow the store to automatically identify what was purchased and charge a registered account associated with the consumer.
