According to news reporting out of Queensland Univer sity of Technology by NewsRx editors, research stated, “Generalisation across mu ltiple tasks is a major challenge in deep learning for medical imaging applicati ons, as it can cause a catastrophic forgetting problem. One commonly adopted app roach to address these challenges is to train the model from scratch, incorporat ing old and new data, classes, and tasks.” Funders for this research include Australian Research Council.
