Food waste collection e xhibits substantial variation in quantities over the year and is based on the se parate disposal of food waste by residents and shops at the source.MethodsThe fo od waste is properly mixed with recycled compost and bulking material, consistin g of a mixture of prunings, leaves and sawdust, and placed in one of 24 1 m3 clo sed containers.” Financial supporters for this research include European Union under the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme, European Union (EU).
