According to news reporting originating from Montreal, Canada, by New sRx correspondents, research stated, “Typical meteorological year (TMY) weather files are used in building energy simulations to represent typical weather condi tions for a location. The conventional approach to generating TMY weather files uses a set of universal weighting factors determined based on expert judgment.” Financial support for this research came from Natural Sciences and Engineering R esearch Council of Canada (NSERC).
