Abstract

According to news reporting originating in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, by NewsRx journal ists, research stated, “Scene text detection is a challenging topic in computer vision, characterized by complex illumination, irregular shape, and arbitrary si ze. While recent advancements have been made in scene text detection, it remains difficult to simultaneously distinguish nearby text and accommodate irregularly shaped text.” Financial support for this research came from Special Project for Research and D evelopment in Key areas of Guangdong Province.
