Abstract
2024 OCT 03 (NewsRx)-By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-A new study on Machine Learning is now available. According to news originating from Coventry, United Kingdom, by News Rx correspondents, research stated, "Debris flows are more likely to be triggere d in the earthquake-strike areas with a widespread presence of unstable slopes, causing severe casualties and changing the surrounding natural topography. In su ch scenario, estimating the travel distance of debris flows becomes crucial to u nderstand the hazardous areas." Financial support for this research came from European Union (EU). Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from the University of W arwick, "Therefore, a hybrid machine learning model (GA-XGBoost) was employed to achieve a reliable estimation of debris-flow travel distance. This model was ap plied to the Nepal Himalayas, the site of the 2015 Gorkha earthquake." According to the news editors, the research concluded: "We selected four geomorp hological factors for travel distance estimation."
