According to news originating from Hubei, People's Republ ic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, "Soil salinization is on e of the most serious land-degrading threats globally, particularly in Asia, whe re there are 21 countries, e.g., Kazakhstan, China, Iran, and Indonesia, lack of accurate spatial information of saltaffected soils currently. Mapping the dist ribution of salt-affected soils and identifying their main driving factors is cr itical for sustainable development." Funders for this research include National Key Research & Developm ent Program of China, The program of the Food and Agriculture Organization of th e United Nations.
