By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-According to news reporting originatin g from Washington, D.C., by NewsRx journalists, a patent application by the inve ntors MALANIK, Jakub (Praha, CZ); ROJICEK, Jiri (Praha, CZ); SCHINDLER, Zdenek ( Praha, CZ), filed on April 7, 2023, was made available online on October 10, 202 4. No assignee for this patent application has been made. Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: "Chillers transfer heat away from a space, thereby enabling th e space to be cooled. Large buildings are typically not reliant on the cooling c apabilities of a single chiller, but rather, may rely on a multitude of connecte d similar chillers (i.e., chillers of the same type, maximal capacity, and perfo rmance configured to work in parallel) contained in a chiller plant, which colle ctively act as a centralized cooling system that provides cooling for the buildi ng. Each chiller in the plant may contain one or more integrated sensors that ma y continuously measure various metrics of the chiller to ensure that it is opera ting efficiently. These metrics may be utilized to determine the COP of one or m ore chillers, which corresponds to the overall key performance metric (KPI) of t he chiller and which measures a chiller's efficiency. However, sensors degrade o ver time and may begin outputting incorrect data, which may correspondingly affe ct the accuracy of the COP determination. Accordingly, given the foregoing, a ne ed exists for a system and method that may determine which sensor data points to use in the COP determination when at least some of the sensor data is inaccurate.
