According to news originatingfrom Xiamen, People's Republic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, "Constraining themelting temp erature of iron under Earth's inner core conditions is crucial for understanding core dynamicsand planetary evolution. Here, we develop a deep potential (DP) m odel for iron that explicitly incorporateselectronic entropy contributions gove rning thermodynamics under Earth's core conditions."Financial supporters for this research include National Natural Science Foundati on of China (NSFC),Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, Nat ional Science Foundation (NSF), OpeningProject of the Joint Laboratory for Plan etary Science and Supercomputing, Research Center for PlanetaryScience, Nationa l Supercomputing Center in Chengdu.Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from Xiamen University, "Extensive benchmarkingdemonstrates the DP's high fidelity across relevant iron phases and extreme pressure and temperatureconditions.
