According to news reportingfrom Bangkok, Thailand, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, "This work proposes exploring the discriminationm odel by near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy (FT-NIR and MicroNIR) for geographical sourceareas of coconut milk in tandem with the classical to modern chemometrics classifier. The discriminationmodel was developed using qualitative chemometri cs techniques from classic (Principal ComponentAnalysis-PCA, Partial Least Squa res Discriminant Analysis-PLS-DA, Linear Discriminant Analysis-LDA) tomodern, i ncluding classifiers from machine learning (Support Vector Machine-SVM, k-Neares t Neighbor-KNN, Artificial Neural Network-ANN) and deep learning (Simple Convolu tional Neural Networks-SCNN,S-AlexNET, Residual Networks-ResNET)."Financial support for this research came from King Mongkut's Institute of Techno logy LadkrabangResearch Fund under KMITL Doctoral Scholarship.
