By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning DailyNews-Researchers detail new data in robotics. Accordin g to news reporting from Russian State AgrarianUniversity - Moscow Timiryazev A gricultural Academy by NewsRx journalists, research stated, "Withinthe project of developing an automatic feed wagon, the initial task is to determine its over all parameters, which directly depend on the wagon volume. (Research purpose) To simulate the automatic feed wagonoperation in order to determine the optimal v olume ensuring the versatility of its use in cattle cowshedsaccommodating diffe rent numbers of animals, and practicing different feeding frequency."The news journalists obtained a quote from the research from Russian State Agrar ian University -Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy: "(Materials and methods ) The solution to the problem isbased on the calculation of the feeding time ta ken by the automatic feed wagon. The time must notexceed the limit values estab lished by zootechnical standards. To calculate the feeding time taken byan auto matic feed wagon, a graph-theory-based simulation method was used, taking into a ccount theprobabilistic nature of the components of feed mixture distribution t ime balance. The calculations wereperformed in MS Excel. (Results and discussio n) The paper describes the conditions for simulation andconsiders two options f or the automatic feed wagon operation, in particular the option when one robot serves two cowsheds and the other when each cowshed is served by a separate feed wagon. (Conclusions)The second option with a separate automated feed wagon for each cowshed is proved to be more suitable. It has been obtained that in this ca se, the reduced movement length results in a 27.9-36.2 percent increasein produ ctivity of the automatic feed wagon; besides there is no need to install automat ic gates and buildan insulated vestibule to move the robot between the cowsheds ."
