By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-Research findings on artificial intell igence are discussed in a new report. According to news reporting out of Bialyst ok University of Technology by NewsRx editors, research stated, "The study aims to establish patterns of relations between the profitability of the European Uni on (EU) banking sectors between 2007 and 2021 and sets of variables appropriate for clusters of countries into which the 27 countries of the EU are divided." The news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from Bialystok Univer sity of Technology: "The random forest method is deployed to identify the factor s influencing the value of the return on equity. Shapley additive explanations a re exploited to add interpretability to the results. The results show that the s ets of variables shaping the profitability of banking sectors in the EU grouped by use of sovereign rating criterion are different. However, there are variables common to all banking sectors." According to the news reporters, the research concluded: "These include cost eff iciency and default risk. The study's novelty lies in the reliance on a broad sp ectrum of explanatory variables assigned to three groups of factors, reference t o all EU countries, and decomposition of the sample to identify similarities amo ng the determinants of profitability."
