By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News-Investigators discuss new findings in Robotics. According to news originating from Zurich, Switzerland, by NewsRx corr espondents, research stated, "Accurately modeling soft robots in simulation is c omputationally expensive and commonly falls short of representing the real world . This wellknown discrepancy, known as the sim-to-real gap, can have several ca uses, such as coarsely approximated geometry and material models, manufacturing defects, viscoelasticity and plasticity, and hysteresis effects." Funders for this research include Credit Suisse, Switzerland, ETH AI Center, Ama zon Research Award.
