Researchers detail new data in Robotic s -Robotics and Automation. According to news reporting originating in Rennes, France, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, "In this letter, we consider pos itioning in congested space within the framework of sensor-based control using v ision and proximity sensors." Financial support for this research came from BPI France Lichie project. The news reporters obtained a quote from the research from the University of Ren nes, "Vision acts as primary sensing modality for performing the positioning tas k, while proximity sensors complement it by ensuring that the robotic platform d oes not collide with objects in the workspace. Sensor information is combined in a shared manner using the QP formalism where ideas from safety-critical control are used to express inequality constraints." According to the news reporters, the research concluded: "The proposed method is validated through various real experiments."
