2024 OCT 08 (NewsRx)-By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News-A new study on artificial intelligence is now ava ilable. According to news originating from Macau, People's Republic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, "This study investigates the intricate causal mechanisms of university students' sustained use of artificial intelligen ce (AI) tools for self-directed learning (SDL) within the theoretical framework of self-determination theory (SDT). Employing a convenience sampling strategy, 3 87 university students from China were included in the study." Funders for this research include Macao Polytechnic University. The news editors obtained a quote from the research from Faculty of Humanities a nd Social Sciences: "Methodologically, we employed structural equation modeling (SEM) for the measurement and causal analysis, and we employed fuzzy-set qualita tive comparative analysis (fsQCA) for the configurational analysis. The research results emphasize several important insights. Perceived usefulness, intrinsic m otivation, and satisfaction play important roles in encouraging university stude nts' continuance intentions. Satisfaction emerges as a pivotal mediator, bridgin g the connection between perceived usefulness, intrinsic motivation, and continu ance intention. The system quality, the information quality, and social interact ion have significant positive influences on perceived usefulness. Perceived auto nomy and perceived competence display strong correlations with both intrinsic mo tivation and satisfaction."
