Researchers from University of Rennes Report New Studies and Findings in the Are a of Robotics and Automation (Qp-based Visual Servoing Under Motion Blur-free Co nstraint)

Abstract

A new study on Robotics - Robotics and Automation is now available. According to news reporting from Rennes, France, b y NewsRx journalists, research stated, "This letter proposes a QP-based visual s ervoing scheme for limiting motion blur during the achievement of a visual task. Unlike traditional image restoration approaches, we want to avoid any deconvolu tion step by keeping the image sequence acquired by the camera as sharp as possi ble." Financial support for this research came from BPI France Lichie project. The news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from the University o f Rennes, "To do so, we select the norm of the image gradient as sharpness metri c, from which we design a velocity constraint that is injected in a QP controlle r. Our system is evaluated for an Earth observation satellite." According to the news reporters, the research concluded: "Simulation and experim ental results show the effectiveness of our approach."
