According to news reportingfrom Pullenvale, Australia, by NewsR x journalists, research stated, “Humans possess a remarkable abilityto react to unpredictable perturbations through immediate mechanical responses, which harne ss the viscoelasticproperties of muscles to maintain balance. Inspired by this behavior, we propose a novel design ofa robotic leg utilizing fibre jammed str uctures as passive compliant mechanisms to achieve variable jointstiffness and damping.”
