News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors:“The use of augmented and/or virtual reality computing envi ronments (collectively referred to herein as“virtual reality computing environm ents) have become increasing more prevalent. By way of example,the Metaverse is a hypothetical iteration of the Internet as a single, universal and immersive v irtualreality computing environment that is facilitated by the use of virtual r eality and augmented realityheadsets. Thus, the Metaverse provides the ability for a user to associate with an avatar (i.e., a virtualrepresentation/object of the user) and for the avatar to conduct resource exchange events within a virtual environment. While the resource exchange event is initiated entirely within t he virtual environment,it results in an actual exchange of resources between th e user and the resource-providing entity. In thisregard, a user presents digita l resources in exchange for physical goods and/or services. However, resourceex change events conducted in virtual computing environments can readily be associa ted with wrongfulactivities.
