Abstract

Patent number 12140956 is assigned to Kawasaki Jukogyo Kabushiki Kaisha (Kobe, J apan).The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied bythe inventors: “BACKGROUND ART“Conventionally, it is known that a safety device for a self-propellable travel device and a robot providedto the travel device. Such a safety device is propos ed in Patent Document 1, for example.“In the safety device of Patent Document 1, the reflection factor of a robot wit h a higher priority isset higher than the reflection factor of a robot with a l ower priority. Thus, a sensing signal emitted fromthe robot with the lower prio rity is reflected by the robot with the higher priority, and the light is receiv edwith sufficient intensity by the robot with the lower priority. On the other hand, the sensing signal emittedfrom the robot with the higher priority is refl ected by the robot with the lower priority, and the light isreceived with insuf ficient intensity by the robot with the higher priority. Thus, the safety device of PatentDocument 1 allows the robot with the higher priority to work with a h igher priority.”
