A waypoint may be defin ed by a set of coordinates that identify a point in physical space.For example, a set of coordinates for terrestrial navigation may include longitude and latit ude. As anotherexample, a set of coordinates for air navigation may include lon gitude, latitude, and altitude. Waypointsmay be used in navigation systems, suc h as the Global Positioning System (GPS) and other types of radionavigation.”
