Some dialogue systems operate by receiving text-such as text including one or moreletters, words, numbers, and/or symbols-that is generated using an i nput device and/or generated as atranscript of spoken language (e.g., using a s peech-to-text algorithm). In some circumstances, the textmay represent a reques t, such as-in a restaurant or food-ordering scenario-a request to inquire aboutfood items provided by a restaurant and/or a request to order one or more of the food items offered bythe restaurant. The dialogue systems then process the tex t using a dialogue manager that is trained tointerpret the text.
