Abstract

The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied bythe inventors: “A fluid spraying system can be used to spray a fluid from a fluid source to an applicationarea. For example, paint can be spra yed by an applicator, such as a spray gun or head having a spray tip,to a wall or other target surface. Some spraying systems employ robotic components that su pport theapplicator on a control module that controls the flow of paint through the spray tip (e.g., to start, stop,and/or control paint thickness, etc.). Fur ther, the robotic components are carried on a movable framehaving actuators tha t control the positioning of the spray tip relative to the surface.
