No assignee for this patent application has been made.News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors:“Rotary joints are commonly used components in automated ma chinery such as robots, mechanical arms,and multi-layer rotary body rotation sy stems. The main parts of the transmission mechanism for therotary joint are gen erally arranged sequentially along an axial direction of the joint. For example, the inputencoder, input shaft, motor/reducer system, output shaft and output e ncoder are arranged sequentiallyalong the axial direction of the joint. However , this assembly structure also has obvious drawbacks, suchas occupying high axi al space occupation and low utilization rate of radial space.”
