Abstract

From the background information supplied by the inventors, news correspondents o btained the followingquote: “Current decking systems are not conducive to autom ation. It is hard to adjust decking becausethere is no restriction to the movem ent in the x-y-z planes, making it difficult for a robot to repositiona deck co nsistently. Locking and unlocking the deck also requires the user to manually lo ck and unlockdecking so that it can be moved, presenting a hazard to a user, es pecially in an automated environment.
