Abstract

News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors:“Artificial intelligence has been applied in a wide variety of contexts, from text generation algorithms whichcan generate extensive prose from minimal prompts, to neural networks which can be trained to classifyinput s and make predictions. However, existing artificial intelligence systems tend t o be pre-wired, in thattheir structure and function will be tuned for a particu lar purpose and/or type of information collection.This makes these systems both more difficult to create and less flexible in practice. Accordingly, thereis a need for a system which could provide benefits of artificial intelligence witho ut the same degree ofpre-wiring which characterizes many presently used systems . While various types of systems with varyingdegrees of flexibility have been m ade and used, it is believed that no one prior to the inventor has madeor used the invention described in the appended claims.”
