According to news reporting out ofBlacksburg, Virginia, by NewsRx edi tors, research stated, “This letter formally develops a novel hierarchicalplann ing and control framework for robust payload transportation by quadrupedal robot s, integrating amodel predictive control (MPC) algorithm with a gradient-descen t-based adaptive updating law. At the framework’s high level, an indirect adapti ve law estimates the unknown parameters of the reduced-order(template) locomoti on model under varying payloads.”
