News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors:“Autonomous mobile robots include autonomous mobile cleanin g robots that can autonomously performcleaning tasks within an environment, suc h as a home. Many kinds of cleaning robots are autonomous tosome degree and in different ways. Some robots can perform vacuuming operations and some can perfor m mopping operations. Other robots can include components or systems to perform both vacuuming andmopping operations. Most types of mobile cleaning robots can interface with a docking station that canperform maintenance on the robot, such as charging and debris evacuation.”
