Abstract

The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied bythe inventors: “Organizations use knowledge graphs to represent data such as key domain terms andassociate them with context-specific frequent ly asked questions (FAQs), synonyms, and machine learningenabledclasses for us e in services like search engines, virtual assistants, or question-answering ser vices.A knowledge graph is a knowledge base that uses a graph-structured data m odel to ingest data. Theknowledge graph is used to store interlinked descriptio ns of entities such as, for example, objects, events,or abstract concepts. The knowledge graph is composed of a list of paths, where each path comprises oneor more entities and an intent. In one example, when an input is provided by a use r to a virtual assistant,one or more matching paths from the list of paths of t he knowledge graph corresponding to the virtualassistant are identified by cons idering a percentage match (e.g., 1/5, 2/5, . . . ) based on the numberof nodes /terms in a path that match with the input provided.
