Abstract

The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied by theinventors: “Storage systems 1 comprising a three-dimensiona l storage grid structure, within which storagecontainers/bins are stacked on to p of each other, are well known. PCT Publication No. WO2015/185628A(Ocado) desc ribes a known storage and fulfilment system in which stacks of bins or container s are arrangedwithin a grid framework structure. The bins or containers are acc essed by load handling devices remotelyoperative on tracks located on the top o f the grid framework structure. A system of this type is illustratedschematical ly in FIGS. 1 to 3 of the accompanying drawings.
