Abstract

Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors:“Extended reality (XR) environments, i.e., environments create d by immersive technologies that mergephysical and virtual worlds, such as augm ented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR)and the like, h ave grown more realistic and immersive as VR headsets, augmented reality devices andapplications, processor speeds, data storage and data transfer technologies have continued to improve.However, unlike conventional physical reality, elect ronic XR environments present more opportunities forpersons to collaborate and share information, including in work and education fields, in ways that are notpossible in the physical constraints of the real-world.
