News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors:“A machine learning engine (or “ML engine” for short) provi des a series of machine learning analyticfunctions to perform analysis on compl ete data sets.“Data scientists typically train an ML engine and select the best model for depl oyment. They maycome back some time later to study the performance of the deplo yed model. If there is a deteriorationof the performance metrics, they will tun e and retrain the model and ultimately choose the best one forredeployment. Con sequently, this creates unnecessary human touch and delays and leads to a sluggi shresponse to the ever-changing environment.
