According to news reporting out ofDurham, North Carolina, by NewsRx edi tors, research stated, “The hemodynamic effects of mitral valverepair (MVr) wit h respect to transmitral pressure gradients (TMPGs) have not been described well inpatients undergoing leaflet preservation techniques. In a population of pati ents undergoing robotic MVrwith leaflet preservation, we investigate the expect ed change of the postrepair intraoperative TMPG inthe postoperative follow-up p eriod.”
