According to newsreporting from Ferrara, Italy, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “While total mesorectal excision is thegold standard for rectal cancer, the optimal surgical approach to achieve adequa te oncological outcomesremains controversial. This network meta-analysis aims t o compare the histopathological outcomes ofrobotic (R-RR), transanal (Ta-RR), l aparoscopic (L-RR), and open (O-RR) resections for rectal cancer.”
