News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors:“An autonomous cleaning robot can navigate across a floor s urface and avoid obstacles while vacuumingthe floor surface and operating rotat able members carried by the robot to ingest debris from the floorsurface. As th e robot moves across the floor surface, the robot can rotate the rotatable membe rs, which engage the debris and guide the debris toward a vacuum airflow generat ed by the robot. The rotatablemembers and the vacuum airflow can thereby cooper ate to allow the robot to ingest debris.”
