According to news originatingfrom Worcester, Massachusetts, b y NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF) Ti-6Al -4V is widely studied for use in structural applications in aerospace and medica l industries,but mechanical anisotropy and microstructural inhomogeneity prohib its its wider adoption. Althoughsuccessful microstructure prediction models hav e been developed, a remaining challenge is their limitedintegration across leng th/time scales and validation by experimental studies.”
