According to news reportingout of Corvallis, Oregon, by NewsRx editors, research stated, “Thermal modification is an environmentallyfriendly p ractice to enhance the durability of wood. Despite the method’s effectiveness in improving wooddurability and dimensional stability, the mechanical properties of wood could be compromised following theheat treatment process.”
