According to newsoriginating from Hangzhou, People’s Re public of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated,“Since 5-hydroxymeth ylfurfural (5-HMF) is carcinogenic to humans, its detection in foods is essential. This study performed near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy (11998-4000 cm-1) to de termine the 5-HMFcontent in roasted coffee.”
