For this purpose , the person inputs a call, for example, on a call input terminal onthe entry f loor and an elevator car responding to the call transports the person to a desir ed destinationfloor. Hereto, traction sheave drive type elevators are establish ed and particularly successful for manyyears, whereby the elevators contain ele vator cars that can be moved by means of a drive engine having atraction sheave using suspension means, for example in the form of cables or belts upwards and downwardsin a shaft. Generally, the elevator car comprises a cuboid car body th at has a floor, doors, side walls, arear wall and a ceiling. The passengers sta nd in the interior of the car body as the car moves.
