According to news originatingfrom Aligarh, India, by NewsRx co rrespondents, research stated, “The weak soil stabilization using solidwastes i s one of the most common solutions for improving geotechnical characteristics as well as forproblematic waste dumping in landfills. The present experimental st udy aims to examine the effect ofhigh-volume Class-F fly ash on the geotechnica l and microstructural properties of clayey soil by addingthem in ranges between 5 % and 50 %. The results show that as the amount of fly ash in clayey soilincreases, properties like the specific gravity, plastic ity index, permeability, optimum moisture content,maximum dry density and free swelling index improves.”
